Minor win

With our attempts to water proof the bar, so far we are stopping 99% of the water getting in, when the french doors go up soon in the near future as well as the final wall, the area will be enclosed. But not 100% water proof. It is one of the situations that until you actually see what I am talking about, it is very difficult to actualy explain. But I will give it a go anyway.

Water still leaks and runs down a path which if it is heavy rain will run down under the water tank and seep in to the bar. I do have a short term fix for that and the long term idea is a major section will be under cover down the track which will stop water for getting in anyway. However that is like a couple of years away and my short term fix is concrete a lip and angle the water to a drain. This will stop most of the water but probably not all on the really heavy continous rains.

The second lot comes from uder the house. We are on a hill and the water runs down and part of it is when we dug the basement and concreted the floor we put in a small drain. We put this in before the thought of actually having a bar on the other side of the wall was even a conception. However we have a fix for this as well it just means digging a another drain further up under the house and lay some drain coil.

Now the minor win comes from since we built the bar on a patio under a deck that was never suppose to be enclosed, and the last major leak that was causing me issuses may (or may not I am still holding my breath on this one)  be fixed. However I am only quietly confident of the fix. Till I have a few more rains it is still a wait and see situation. But the last couple we have had in the last week have been good signs of success.

Overall I am confident I will be able to do it just each fix is usually trial and error so it may not work first time round.

Anyway the French Doors have been made ready for painting and sealing so we are slowly getting there.
