Heart Tray

I got this idea from Steve at Wood working for mere mortals.

He showed my version on his site.

I was given these long thing strips of wood, and didn’t really know what to do with them. Couple of days later while sitting in front of my puter, watching one of Wood working for mere mortals inspirational videos on wood working, Steve was doing some bent lamination and I thought cool. He also mentioned something about valentines day that went straight over my head. I didn’t put two and two together at first. Until I went down stairs and saw the long strips I had been given.

Then my slow kiwi brain clicked and said “crap valentines day” (not that we have ever done anything special in the past mind you. So I set forth and made my version of Steve’s heart tray. I even stole some of Xaria arts and craft stuff to decorate it… and filled it with chocolates.

In turn I now have justified buying the “insert tool name here” well that’s my story and sticking to it. 🙂

One half of the bent lamination, using every single small clamp I have.

Gluing back on again all small clamps plus a couple of the bigger quick grips.

And we have a tray…

And we have a tray…

And we have a tray full on chocolate.
