Having a crosscut sled is one of the most useful jigs for the table saw you will make. It makes doing cross cuts a lot safer thing a just using the standard mitre gauge that comes with your table saw. You will find that your cuts will be more accurate and you will be easily able to do a dado cut with out a dado stack on your table saw.
